Chateau Citran is based in the highly reputed Left Bank appellation of Haut-Médoc. Chateau Citran has a vinous lineage that can be traced back to the 13th century though its modern journey began in 1945 when it was purchased by the Miailhe family that rebalanced the vineyard plantings, favouring Merlot. Over the next few decades, the Chateau’s style evolved and while also changing ownership.
With over 100 hectares of vineyard rooted in gravel, sand and chalk. Notably, some of the Chateau’s vineyard parcels are organically farmed. Chateau Citran’s most recent fine vintages include the last four years 2016 to 2019.
