
Chateau Kirwan

Château Kirwan is an acclaimed Margaux Third Growth estate that dates back to 1710, when the vineyard was bought by Sir John Collingwood, a popular Bordeaux negociant. The winery has retained a traditional approach for nearly three centuries and was one of the few Bordeaux estates to be visited by American president and oenophile Thomas Jefferson. The Left Bank estate enjoyed a significant resurgence in the late 20th century when Bordeaux legend Michel Rolland came aboard. The 40 hectare vineyard is situated at The terroir of Château Kirwan is located on one of the highest points in the Margaux appellation and is predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and the soil content is mostly limestone, sand and gravel. Off late, Château Kirwan has enjoyed a great run of vintages, each year since 2014.
