Longavi
Central Valley, Chile
Deep in the verdant reaches of Maule Valley in Chile’s Central
Valley, the busy estate of Longavi sits under the shadow of
Nevado de Longaví, an ancient volcano with a towering presence
that blesses the winery with its name (which means snakehead)
and alluvial soils. Julio Bouchon is a fourth generation
winemaker with an illustrious history and a grand vision tied to
the region’s undeniable potential. Bouchon’s family lineage goes
back to a pioneering winemaker who landed in Chile more than
100 years ago.
Longaví Glup is an acclaimed, terroir-driven wine line from Chile
and a collaboration between South African winemaker David
Nieuwoudt and Julio Bouchon. The "Glup" series features vibrant,
fruit-forward, and minimally intervened wines, often fermented
in traditional clay amphorae, highlighting ancient vines in regions
like Maule and Itata. Discover the refreshingly Glup Chenin
Blanc and elegant Cinsault, part of Wine Park’s fine wine
selection.
