Pesquie
Rhone Valley, France
Chateau Pesquie is a family winery of storied renown that thrives in underratedregion of Ventoux in the southern Rhone. Chateau Pesquie was established in1989 by Edith and Paul Chaudière. Presently run by the second generation sonsAlex and Fred, the estate boasts 100 acres of vineyards and is popular for adistinct style of southern Rhone wines that helped popularise Ventoux. The winesare influenced by the limestone soils and the higher elevation of the vineyardsthat sit under the watch of Mount Ventoux. Alex and Fred Chaudière practiceorganic viticulture and handpick their grapes avoiding the use of chemicals ormechanised elements. Ventoux’s cooler climate ensures a slower and longerripening process allowing the Chaudière to create a wholesome and concentratedexpression. Wine Park imported two delectable wines from Chateau Pesquieincluding the Pesquie, Edition 1912M White and Pesquie, Edition 1912M Red.
