This boutique estate is celebrated South African vigneron Marc Kent’s successful and environmentally conscious foray in South Africa’s Swartland region. He cut his teeth creating the awesome Boekenhoutskloof estate, a winery with a fierce reputation for quality. While the winemaker is himself understated, the wines exuberant.
There’s a wealth of sunshine fruit flavours with fresh, clear plum and dark cherry notes, underpinned by an enviable freshness. In his own words Kent spells out his philosophy underpinning Vinologist, saving, It’s not about innovation for innovations sake, it’s about making a very good, drinkable glass of wine. The wholesome and expressive yet simple style of Vinologist wines is fine liquid proof of that.
