Catarratto is a white wine grape native to the Southern Italian island of Sicily and produces easy drinking and quaffable wines. This accessible grape in fact dominates Sicilian wine scene, accounting for almost 60 per cent of all its vineyards.
Tastes Like
While its mass produced version can be almost neutral flavour wise, some wine makers have been able to coax out a palate of stone fruit, lemon and honey with a good balance of acidity.
