Where It’s From

Charbono (Bonarda) is a French grape from the region of Savoie which like Malbec found its true expression across the Atlantic in California’s Napa Valley.Charbono also makes a very drinkable red in Argentina’s Mendoza Valley where they locals call it Bonarda.

Tastes Like

Charbono is most at home in Napa’s sunny climes, rooted in its rich soils bring out a wine of generous red fruit and smokey tones with rounded tannins and is rather reminiscent of Merlot.
