Zinfandel is interestingly a red grape of tremendous repute in California though it originally hails from Croatia. The grape is also widely planted in parts of Italy where they rather stylishly call the grape Primitivo.
Tastes Like
Zinfandel is broadly liked for its ability to make ripe, jammy wines with full body and discernible sweetness. The Americans love their White Zinfandel which is in fact a rosé that expresses copious red fruit and a sweetish finish.
