The Indian Wine Awards returned from its hiatus for its fourth edition, coinciding with Prowine Mumbai, the leading wine and spirits exhibition, recognizing and celebrating India’s finest ferments. And Wine Park was right up there, winning two awards for Best In Show and scooping up 13 gold and 14 silver medals for its sublime collection. IWA 2022 selected its winners based on a rigorous blind tasting of over 410 wines by a prestigious jury featuring the industry’s finest palates. The IWA jury including IWA chairperson Sonal Holland, industry veteran Alok Chandra, and WSET trainer Sovna Puri blindtasted all of the wines at the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai. In total, 30 wines were recognized as Best-in-show — wines that scored 95 points and above while there were 77 Gold winners (90 to 94 points) and and 117 Silver medal winners that scored between (85 to 89 points) . So IWA was serious as was the rigorous judging process.
