Vietti produces stellar wines in the heart of Piedmont in Italy’s northwest.The Currado family that created Vietti is based in the village of CastiglioneFalletto in Piedmont’s Langhe region, chiefly producing the world famousBarolo and Barbaresco. Vietti is credited for being one of Peidmont’spioneers of single-vineyard Barolo.Present winemaker Luca has worked with the likes of Opus One inCalifornia and Bordeaux’s Mouton-Rothschild He has found great successwith the indigenous Nebbiolo grape, coaxing a fine expression from thisaromatic and tannic grape. Vietti’s vineyards are rated as being among thefinest in Piedmont’s Barolo’s appellation.
