Vina Apaltagua began its journey in 1995 and has a footprint of vineyards across Chile in the regions of Maipo, Maule, Colchagua, San Antonio and Curico Valley. With vineyards in five of Chile’s leading wine regions, Vina Apaltagua has a distinct benefit of sourcing fruit from diverse microclimates.
It’s the Apalta region however where the winery is based and draws its name which holds special significance. More so, Vina Apaltagua has noted winemaker Pablo Barros at the helm, helped by consulting winemaker Alvaro Espinoza who is one of Chile’s leading wine maker who is also credited with pioneering biodynamic viticulture in the country.
