Bodegas Albamar

Bodegas Albamar is a small batch family winery set in the Rías Baixas region in northwestern Spain owned by the Alba family and is sought after for making the region’scherished Albariño wines. The Alba family has owned 2.5 hectares of vineyard rootedin sand and clay since 1984 but largely produced bulk wines till 2006.That’s when the present generation winemaker Xurxo Alba took over as winemakerand elevated the estate from bulk wine to high-quality still wines with a focus onterroir driven Albarino.Xurxo Alba practices organic viticulture and ages the wines on fine lees in order toimpart complexity and texture. The estate’s distinct Albarino style shines with vibrantacidity and marine characteristics.
