Castello Romitorio is a family estate nestled in the Tuscan town ofMontalcino where it produces the region’s most sought after Sangiovesestyle, Brunello di Montalcino. Castello Romitorio is run by wine makerand artist Filippo Chia whose mother Sandro Chia, also an artist,purchased Castello di Romitorio in 1984.Located in the northwest of Montalcino, Castello Romitorio’s vineyardsblend in with local vegetation, extracting nutrients from the clay andalbarese soils.
