Macabeo is a white wine grape well regarded as a key ingredient in Spainβs celebrated sparkling wine, Cava, as well as other whites wines. The grape is originally from Spain where itβs also called Viura and is widely planted in Southern France.
Tastes Like
Macabeoβs palate depends on when it is picked β if harvested early, the wine are floral and aromatic but turn towards notes of dry fruit and honey if picked late and aged in barrel.
