Indigenous to Spain where it was originally called Monastrell, Mourvedre is best known for blending with Grenache and Syrah in France’s Southern Rhone, producing delectable and powerful reds.

Since it ripens late, the grape takes on layers of colour and flavour that show beautifully on the palate that teems with black fruit and spices, capped by firm tannins.
