The Brancaia Chianti Classico radiates with the famous sunny Tuscan demarcation's bright character and cherished fruit. The family estate is credited with defining the modern Chianti Classico style, brimming with ripe fruit and juicy acidity. In fact. it's the only Brancaia wine that is entirely unoaked and pays homage to the Chianti terroir. The grapes are handpicked from the family owned Chianti vineyards in Castellina and Radda. This popular Sangiovese style stands apart from the full bodied, barrel matured reds that dot the region. Winemaker Barbara Widmer has aged the wine for a year in steel and concrete tanks with some follow up bottle ageing, giving it drinkability in the now. The resulting wine crackles with floral notes, cherries and bright acidity, finishing clean.
