Robert Parker +

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Lagrange strides confidently out of the glass with notes of warm blackberries, black cherry compote and black currant jelly plus nuances of Indian spices, garrigue and lilacs. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly played with plush tannins and an impressive intensity of crunchy black fruits, finishing with great length and plenty of depth.

Wine Spectator +

A juicy, forward style, featuring blackberry, blueberry and black currant notes, mixed with dashes of cocoa, singed cedar and sweet tobacco. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 14,166 cases made.

TASTING NOTES

Firm and balanced with blueberries, blackberries and hints of citrus and minerals. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh finish, the wine exhibits aromas and flavors that range from dried herbs to red currants. The wine's active finish pairs it well with roast chicken. The palate is juicy and fruity with new wood flavors showing through. The aftertaste is full of the fresh aspect of the vintage.

Bottle Story+

Chateau Lagrange deservedly lives up to its classification of 3rd Grand Cru Classé as part of the historic 1855 classification of Bordeaux Chateaux. Situated in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation of Medoc on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Lagrange has 85 percent of its 120 hectares classified as Grands Crus Classé. It is from these vineyard that the grapes sprout and ripen to perfection and aged greatness. Ecological farming of the gravel soils and hand harvesting coupled with an unparralled stock of new French oak, the traditional Left Bank blend is 21 months barrel aged, gleaming with black currant, tobacco and smooth ripe tannins to crown this pristine red palate.

Taste

Please store all wines between 12 to 15 degrees Celsius.

Wines under cork are best opened using a corkscrew.

Remove the foil using the corkscrew’s foil cutter and insert the spirally corkscrew into the center of the cork.

Twist in clockwise motion until the corkscrew is entirely inside.

Rest the corkscrew’s lever on the bottle’s lip and pull the handle to bring out the cork.

To get the perfect serving temperature for red wine, store in fridge for up to 2 hours to serve at 16 to 18 degrees C.

Serve red wine in a classic red wine glass that allows the wine to release its range of aromas and flavours.
