Domaine Henri Gouges has a lineage of 400 years and the privilege and challenge of retaining top shelf status in the most feted appellation in the world's best region to produce Pinot Noir. It certainly isn't easy being one of Burgundy's most celebrated domaines by Henri Gouges does that with wines as stunning as this graceful red produced from concentrated fruit grown on prime parcels like Belle Croix and Les Chaliots. Henri Gouges inherited 9 hectares of prime Nuits-St-Georges vineyards in 1920 which today stands at 14.5 hectares – including seven of the best situated Premier crus. Today, Henri's grandchildren Pierre and Christian continue realising his vision, finely expressed in this red that straddles structure, elegance and rich cherry flavours.
