Man Family has succeeded in honing this vibrant fruity and herbaceous expression with their flagship ‘Sauv Blanc'. Chief winemaker Riaan Möller has fashioned a generous and refreshing from handpicked fruit grown on the estate's coastal Paarl vineyards. The wine is named Warrelwind as a nod of whirlwinds that sweep the vineyards during the growing season, cool the grapes even as the sun ripens them. These winds play a vital role in helping the grapes retain freshness as they ripen towards harvest. This is what makes for a vibrant and fruity Sauvignon Blanc balanced with herbs. Three months of time spent on the lees adds depth of flavour and there's also an interesting layer of creaminess imparted by a splash of Semillon that has been blended into the wine.
