Lush, with a creamy texture embracing peach, melon, butter, clove and toasty vanilla flavors. Mellow and seamless, this dallies effortlessly on the finish, where the spice notes linger. Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
The wine is laced with hints of tangerine oil, jasmine, spice and pear. Light tropical accents appear later adding gorgeous nuance throughout. The move toward high elevation vineyards and picking earlier yields a Batàr endowed with terrific freshness and plenty of style.
Few white wines are gushed over in poetic eloquence like the Batàr. This wine is described by critics and wine enthusiasts as not so much a ferment but an experience of pure balance of fruit and oak held together by sublime winemaking. It all began as a though in Querciabella owner Sebastiano's mind to craft a wine that could stand up to Bâtard-Montrachet, that revered Burgundy appellation with the steeped track record for making great barrel aged Chardonnay. And Querciabella has achieved that with this white wine blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco biodynamically produced in the heart of red wine appellation Chianti Classico. The white Super Tuscan is barrel fermented and aged for 9 months in French oak. Respected wine critic Hugh Johnson has rightly compared Batar to Burgundy Grand Cru. Some avowed lovers of this vinous beauty go much further.

Wines under cork are best opened using a corkscrew.
Remove the foil using the corkscrew’s foil cutter and insert the spirally corkscrew into the center of the cork.
Twist in clockwise motion until the corkscrew is entirely inside.
Rest the corkscrew’s lever on the bottle’s lip and pull the handle to bring out the cork.
To get the perfect serving temperature for white wine, store in fridge for up to 3 hours to serve at 8 to 12 degrees C.
