Scaia is a majestic creative force driven by the Castagnedi brothers in Veneto, turning all fruit they crush into liquid gold and they've gone above and beyond with the most famous of French noble grapes. This Veneto Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Valpolicella region where Amarone Della Valpolicella rules the roost, shows stunning character and finesse, handpicking grapes from Monti Garbi's loam rich vineyards and using the Appassimento technique traditionally used to make Amarone Della Valopolicella. The result is a stunning palate of red fruit, spice and oak driven finesse. The wine is in fact named after Signor Mellotti who used to own a house near the vineyard which was also used as a watchtower during World War I. The wine itself shines a torchbearer for the high standards of the Italian style of Cabernet Sauvignon.
