Charosa Vineyards is one of India’s largest producers of fine wines, based in Nashik’s stellar sub region of Dindori where it has successfully bottled many a good vintage for close to a decade. Recently acquired by Grover Vineyards, the estate makes a range of expressive red and whites wines. International wine consultant Ian Mckenzie played a key role at the start of Charosa’s journey as did winemaker Ashok Patil.
With over 230 acres of vineyard, Charosa has one of the largest areas under vine in India. The producer has won domestic and international acclaim its range of wines, vinified at its state of the art winery and aged in French oak. Charosa is recognised as being one of the first to make a 100 per cent barrel aged Tempranillo.
