The three key elements that define this vintage style are the aromatic fruit freshness, elegance and balance. The palate has structured tannins that give a silky mouthfeel, and then it evolves to finish with a persistent length.

Bottle Story+
Château Poujeaux is a historic 19th century Chateau situated in Moulis-en-Médoc in Bordeaux, roundly hailed by critics for producing wines of Grand Cru class quality. The flagship wine produced with fruit handpicked from the estate's 52 hectares of vineyards bears testament to this deserved praise. The flagship Bordeaux blend comprises 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The Chateau's vineyard soils are mostly gravel based with good elevation. Chateau Poujeaux is owned by the Cuvelier family, who also own Chateau Clos Fourtet in Saint Emilion on the Right Bank. Under the stewardship of Mathieu Cuvelier, the estate sets the standard for
Cru Bourgeois classified Chateaux in the appellation and is recognised as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, an honour accorded to just nine Medoc estates. Black currant, floral elegance and flint define this high quality Bordeaux of great ageing potential.
