The belief and practice of organic viticulture shines through in Dog Point's classic Chardonnay style. Whilst New Zealand is known for making fruity and less complex Chardonnay, Dog Point goes the extra mile, adding dimension to their ‘Chard', thanks to their patch of Marlborough soil largely untouched by chemicals and careful viticulture that allows the fruit to develop depth and a fine balance. Grape is hand harvested from 40 year old vineyard and crushed and barrel fermented before being aged under barrel for 18 months. The resulting estate Chardonnay is the prized balance between bright and youthful citrus driven style and smoke, flint and toasty notes.
