Susana Balbo the owner of the winery is known as the queen of Torrontes. She was the first women winemaker in Argentina in 1981. She single-handedly transformed elevated the role of Torrontes from being blending grape to single varietal status, sparking a modern Argentine wine revolution and introducing the world to this local wine's lively palate.
